My name is Tiffney Batton. I am trying to get the word out about a great bike ride I am helping organize for Timmy’s Fund-a local nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting families who are currently battling childhood cancer. All gifts and donations will be used to relieve the financial and emotional burdens of families who are undergoing treatment at WVU’s Children’s Hospital. This 100 mile, 2 day ride takes place in North Bend state park-a beautiful scenic ride along the rail trail. There are great incentives for top fundraisers, and also the satisfaction that riders are helping families just like mine, who have a child struggling with cancer. My daughter was 2 years old when she was diagnosed, and during her 48 weeks of chemo,Timmy’s fund was a constant source of comfort and help. She is now 5 years old and CANCER FREE! Our family is so thankful for all Timmy’s fund has done, and want to help other families who are still in the fight of their lives. Will you please help me get the word out about this amazing opportunity for cyclists to unite & help over 50 families currently seeking treatment at WVUCH? Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Our website is http://www.timmyschallenge.org
Happy Riding!
Question:
Looking for some advice.
I want to get in some miles in the next 2 weeks.
What path/rail trail would be best for a nice road ride?
I’m to get in at least 30 miles per ride (15 out/15 back).
I’d get in onto the trail along Don Knott’s Blvd by the bus depot.
Thanks for any help.
Steve
Getting the word out about a great charity ride for 2012. Timmy’s Challenge has something for everyone. If you would like to take a 10 mile or 100 mile ride, the options are on the table. Timmy’s Challenge takes place on August 25-26, 2012. Leading up to this weekend we will be sponsoring rally rides on different trails about the tri-state area. If you would be willing to stand & pedal with us, you can find more information at http://www.timmyschallenge.org.
